Wakefield, Yorkshire Stabbing: Man Due In Court After Samantha Sykes and Kimberley Frank, Fatally Stabbed

A 19-year-old man is to appear in court today charged with murder, kidnap and false imprisonment following the deaths of two young women in a flat in Wakefield.

Kimberley Frank, 17 and Samantha Sykes, 18, were both found stabbed to death in the Eastmoor area of the town in West Yorkshire on Saturday morning.

Ahmad Otak, from Wakefield, has been charged with murder, kidnap, false imprisonment and possessing a bladed instrument in a public place, West Yorkshire Police said.

He will appear at Wakefield Magistrates Court this morning.

A police spokesman said on Sunday: "A post-mortem carried out this evening has revealed that they died as the result of stab wounds."

Officers were called to Barden Road after they were contacted by Kent Police.

They said a 19-year-old woman in Dover had raised concerns for the safety of the two women.

A 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were released without charge. Source
