SAINT SYLVESTRE

Le réveillon de la Saint-Sylvestre ou le réveillon du Jour de l'an est une coutume occidentale qui consiste à fêter l'arrivée du nouvel an, en veillant jusqu'à minuit le soir du 31 décembre, dernier jour de l'année du calendrier grégorien.

Dans la plupart des pays, contrairement au réveillon de Noël qui se fait en famille, celui du Jour de l'an se fait généralement avec des amis. Au Japon, c'est l'inverse. En Europe de l'Est le réveillon de la Saint Sylvestre est fêté entre amis.

Le Jour de l'an ou Nouvel An est le premier jour d'une année.

Par extension le terme désigne aussi les célébrations de ce premier jour de l'année.
Comme tout anniversaire d'un calendrier donné, le jour de l'an peut sembler mobile dans un calendrier fonctionnant suivant une autre logique. Par exemple, le nouvel an du calendrier chinois (luni-solaire) apparaît comme une date mobile dans le calendrier grégorien (calendrier solaire).

Your Questions Answered - When to apply Eye Primer

Heyy Eman,

Your Videos are great and really helpful! I watched your Primer video and it really helped me, I just needed a small question answered. Do you apply concealer/foundation before or after you apply Eye primer??


As you apply foundation on your face, apply a little foundation on your eye lids as well to get rid of any discoloration. After you apply your foundation, apply powder all over your face including over your eye lids. This will make the surface smooth. Once you've completed those steps, apply eye primer on your lids. Follow these steps and your eyeshadow will go on perfectly.

Your Questions Answered - How to Make Large Pores look smaller

Gone through your videos and they were fantastic .
I've got open pores on my face and I want to use something that can fill my pores so my skin looks smooth. Even after using foundation, my skin is oily. Is there any kind of camuflague that i can use?


So you want to make your pores look smaller. Here are a few tips:
Large pores are caused by two things: genetics and age. There are a few options to deal with large pores.

One option is to go to a dermatologist or a spa to get microdermabrasion treatments. These treatments are a type of facial that gently sloughs off the dead surface layer of skin.

Another option is to use products that have low-strength topical retinol or vitamin C. Both of these are antioxidants that work to increase collagen and elastin production to give your skin a smoother appearance. Try either The Body Shop Vitamin C Super Charged Serum or Neutrogena Pore Refining Cream. Microdermabraison treatments will also help the antioxidant creams penetrate the skin more quickly.

Another option is to conceal large pores with makeup. Start by applying a primer. Primer is a product that evens out skin tone and prevents foundation from sinking into pores. After it dries, apply your foundation. As a final step, use a kabuki brush to apply a light dusting of loose powder. This will make the surface of your skin appear smoother.

Qui est SAINT NICOLAS ?
Saint Nicolas, saint patron et protecteur des petits enfants et de la Lorraine est fêté tous les 6 décembre, surtout dans l'est de la France et dans le nord ainsi que dans de nombreux pays d'Europe. La légende du Père Noel a été crée à partir du personnage de Saint Nicolas. C'est en quelque sorte l'ancêtre du Père Noel.
Il est né à Patara en Asie Mineure entre 250 et 270 après J-C. Il est mort le 6 décembre, en 345 ou en 352 dans la ville portuaire de Myre en Asie Mineure. C'est l'un des saints les plus populaires en Grêce et dans l'Eglise Latine.

Saint Nicolas, dans son costume d'évêque fait équipe avec un personnage sinistre, le père Fouettard. Celui-ci, tout vêtu de noir n'a pas le beau rôle puisqu'il est chargé de distribuer les coups de trique aux garnements.
La Légende de Saint Nicolas veut que le saint ait ressuscité trois petits enfants qui étaient venus demander l'hospitalité à un boucher. Celui-ci les accueillit et profita de leur sommeil pour les découper en morceaux et les mettre au saloir. Sept ans plus tard, Saint Nicolas passant par là demande au boucher de lui servir ce petit salé vieux de sept ans. Terrorisé le boucher prit la fuite et Saint Nicolas fit revenir les enfants à la vie. Cette légende est à l'origine d'une célèbre chansonnette :

"Ils étaient trois petits enfants qui s'en allaient glaner aux champs..."

La Saint Nicolas est aussi l'occasion pour les enfants de recevoir des cadeaux trois semaines avant que le Père Noël ne passe dans les cheminées.

Its holiday season and if you're like me your month of December will be filled with lots of Christmas parties and Christmas dinners and you'll need to look fabulous at each and every one of them. But coming up with different looks for lots of different events can be hard. So to help out, here's a couple of my favorite hair trends that are perfect to try out this holiday season.

The first hair trend that has been every where lately is The Braid. Everyone from Jlo to Blake Lively to Jennifer Aniston have been seen with this hair trend. But it's not your traditional braid. The trick to this trend is to do a modern version of "The Braid" and pair it up with great makeup and a great outfit. Check out some examples of modern versions of "The Braid".

Another one of my favorite hair trends right now that has been seen on everyone from Megan Fox to Kim Kardashian is the classic Veronica Lake vintage waves. This look is beautiful and ultra glamorous. Pair it up with vintage makeup like a classic red lip and black liner and you'll be the hit at your Christmas Party!
