The perfect way to start the New Year is with a hot new editorial. Check out this editorial for Plaid Magazine with photographer Alan Chan. The location of the shoot was at the Vancouver Museum. There was a lot going on with the background and the styling so I wanted to keep the makeup and hair quite simple. I concentrated on perfecting the models skin and doing a little bit of shading around her eyes. Her hair was really long so I wanted to sleek it out and really polished. To see more go to Plaid Magazine http://plaidmag.com/2012/01/in-the-mix/
Also check out the video below of Behind-The-Scenes of the shoot. I'm always so short beside the models!!

Creme De La Creme
Creme de la Creme is the most prestigous wedding showcase in Vancouver. It's a huge event that hosts all the best wedding vendors, the most gorgeous wedding couture and it has everything a bride-to-be could imagine for a truly extravagant luxiourious wedding. I had the amazing opportunity to do makeup for the Blush Bridal Fashion along side makeup aritist Sonia-Leal Serafim and Katrina Molson for hair. We had a blast and the models looked stunning. Here are some pics from the show.

StyleSpy & The Gap Shopping Party Pictures
The Style Spy shopping party at The Gap on Robson St on Tuesday evening was a great sucess. We had so my stylish fashionistas come out to the party and do some shopping. All the mannequins the Style Spy girls styled looked awesome! I wanted to steal all the outfits. There was a Blo Braid Bar station where you can get your hair braided and a Candy Bar full of candy! And on tunes, Dj Anna rocked the house. Here are some pics from the night. Thanks to photographer Georgia Esporalas for all the images.

Halloween Makeup Tutorial - 1DCYBERPUNK
Hi Everyone! This is my first halloween makeup look. I wanted to do something a little different and play around with makeup a bit. I recently got a very interesting tweet from a superfan of the music group, One Direction. If you guys haven't heard of them, they are the winners of X Factor UK. You can check them out here http://www.onedirectionmusic.com
So their superfan, 1DCYBERPUNK sent me a message on twitter to collaborate with her and do a video tutorial based on her makeup and her look. I've never done a look like that before and I thought it would be really fun to try. You can check out 1DCYBERPUNK's website here http://www.onedirectionmusic.com/1DCP

Beautiful Brides - My bride Helia
In my career as a makeup artist, I've been very fortunate to work with some of the most beautiful brides. My bride Helia was not only beautiful, she was the sweetest girl ever. I had the pleasure of meeting Helia and her mom at Helia's consultation and we had a great time trying out different looks. At her wedding, Helia was breathtaking. Her wedding gown was a beautiful princess gown and she then switched to a shorter, sexier dress for the reception. We kept her hair down and flowy, which is my favorite look for weddings. And her makeup with all about the eyes.
Enjoy these pics from Helia's wedding. Congrats to the gorgeous couple.

2 Shoots - One Photographer
I recently did a couple of different shoots with photographer Pooya Nabei. The shoots are completely different and that's what I love about them. It's always so fun to play around with hair and makeup and try different things; thats why I love doing shoots like this. The first shoot was all about COLOR - we used color for everything, the lighting, the clothes, the makeup. The model Renata did a beautiful job with her expressions and movements in this shoot.
The second shoot was the opposite - black, white and gray but still equally as beautiful. I kept the hair and makeup more simple and so was the wardrobe and lighting. Our model, Kendall's expressions and movements were very subtle but still made a strong impact.
For both shoots, I got to work with the wonderful stylist, Krista Sung.
I've also included some behind the scenes from our colorful shoot.
I hope you guys enjoy these images as much as I do.
